In a meeting in Moscow with an Iranian delegation led by Abuzar Ebrahimi Torkaman, head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Hilarion Alfeyev underlined that religion carries peace and that there is no commonality between divine faiths and terrorism.

He stressed that divine religions have brought peace and calm to humanity.

Alfeyev added that efforts should be made to educate followers of religions, especially the youth, to prevent them from falling into the trap of extremism.

Ebrahimi Torkaman in this meeting highlighted the importance of interfaith dialogue to help prevent distortion of the truth.
