Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mostafa Hosseini told IQNA that at the end of the program, most qualified Qaris and memorizers will be selected to represent the country in international Quran competitions.
He said 38 top Quran reciters and memorizers will take part in the program, slated for December 7-9.
The Quranic affairs center will hold the three-day program in cooperation with the Education Ministry’s Quran, Etrat and Prayers Department, he went on to say.
Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, Quranic activities have significantly developed in Iran with many top Quran reciters and memorizers emerging in recent years.
Iranian representatives have had outstanding performances in international Quranic events in recent years, winning many top ranks in Quran contests in countries like Malaysia, Russia, India, and elsewhere.
