Quran Best-Seller in Morocco Int’l Book Fair

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Holy Quran has been the best-selling book in an international book fair underway in the Moroccan city of Casablanca.

According to Fuad, director of the Moroccan Center for Printing, Publication and Distribution of Books, the organizer of the event, the number of Quran copies sold in the recent editions of the book fair has been rising year after year.

Novels and self-improvement books are also among the best-sellers in the book fair, he added.

The 23rd edition of Casablanca International Book Fair kicked off in the Moroccan port city on Thursday, February 9.

Publishers from 54 countries have presented their latest books at the book fair.

The ten-day cultural event will conclude in a ceremony on Sunday, February 19.

Morocco is a Muslim-majority country in North Africa. Nearly 99 percent of the population in the Arab country adhere to Islam.
