Female Quran Students Honored in Philippines

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian Cultural Center in the Philippines honored the Filipino women who participated in a Quranic course held by the Dar-ol-Quran of the center.

According to the center, the Quran students were awarded in a ceremony with the participation of representatives of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Assembly on September 21.

Hojat-ol-Islam Nawab, the secretary of the assembly, and Hojat-ol-Islam Malek Mohammadi, the director general of Asia Affairs Department of the assembly, also visited the Women’s Dar-ol-Quran of the Iranian Cultural Center in Manila.

They were accompanied by Mohammad Tanhayi, the Iranian ambassador to the Philippines, Hojat-ol-Islam Akbari, the director of Al-Mustafa International University’s branch in Manila, and Iranian cultural attaché in the Philippines Mohammad Ja’fari.

Tandis Taqawi, the instructor of the Quranic course, introduced the educational program to the visitors and elaborated on the teaching methods applied in the course.
