Shaam-e Ghariban Mourning Ceremony
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A mourning ceremony was held in Tehran in the presence of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei to mark Shaam-e-Ghareeban.
The evening of Ashura when Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions were martyred and his family members were taken prisoner by the army of Yazid is termed as Shaam-e-Ghareeban.
