TEHRAN (IQNA) –  Israeli forces ordered the evacuation of the Abu Hmeid family from their home in the al-Amaari refugee camp in the central occupied West Bank district of Ramallah, predawn Sunday, in preparation to demolish the structure.

Umm Nasser Abu Hmeid, mother of four Palestinian prisoners, a fifth Palestinian accused of killing an Israeli soldier and another who was killed by Israeli forces in 2002, said that Israeli forces delivered her a demolition notice to her home on Sunday.

She pointed out that the demolition notice said that the first and fourth floor of her four-story home will be demolished.

The notice also added that the family are given two days to evacuate the premises.

Sources confirmed that Israeli forces later took measurements of the home in preparation to demolish it, although the home was previously demolished in 1994, while another home that belongs to the Abu Hmeid family was also demolished in 2003.

Abu Hmeid's son, Islam, was detained by Israeli forces in June and charged with stone throwing and accused of killing an Israeli soldier. The charges against him are based on Islam allegedly throwing a stone on an Israeli soldier during clashes and critically injuring him. The soldier died due to the injuries a few days later.

Abu Hmeid's other four sons, Nasser, 37, Nasr, 35, Sharif, 29, and Muhammad, 24, are currently serving multiple life terms in Israeli prisons for resisting Israeli forces during raids or clashes; Abu Hmeid's sixth son, Abed al-Munim was shot and killed by Israeli forces in the Qalandiya refugee camp in 2002.

Israel always demolishes family homes of Palestinians involved in attacking Israelis as part of its collective punishment policy against the Palestinian people.

Israel has come under harsh condemnation over the past several years for its response to attacks committed by Palestinians on Israelis, which rights groups have said amounted to "collective punishment" on family members and entire communities in a clear violation of international law.
