Taziyeh Performances on Ashura
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Like previous years, a Taziyeh performance was held in Vardanjan, southwestern Iranian province of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, on Ashura (Thursday).
Taziyeh is a kind of passion play telling the story of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions on the Day of Ashura in the 680 AD Battle of Karbala.
