TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran’s Minister of Education visited the International Quran News Agency’s central office here in Tehran on Saturday.

Mohsen Hajimirzaei toured different parts of the news agency and the Iranian Academics Quranic Organization and learned about their activities and programs.

He also held a meeting with Hamid Reza Tayyebi and Issa Alizadeh, the head and cultural deputy of the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), of which the Iranian Academics Quranic Organization and IQNA are affiliates.

IQNA is the first and only specialized Quran news agency in the Islamic world.

It was inaugurated on the 15th of Ramadan, 1424, (November 11, 2003) during a ceremony attended by the then president of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The news agency started its activity by publishing 7 news data-x-items in Persian every day and now, with the blessings of God, is publishing 850 daily news data-x-items in 14 languages.
