TEHRAN (IQNA) – The second edition of a virtual Quran exhibition will be organized in Iran in the coming months.

This was announced in a program held in Tehran on Tuesday to honor the organizers of the first edition.

The Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry’s Quran and Etrat deputy, Abdul Hadi Feqhizadeh, and a number of other officials attended the event.

Feqhizadeh appreciated the efforts of all of those who contributed to the organization of the virtual Quran expo and underlined the need for documenting the experiences gained in the first edition.

It was also decided at the program that the second edition of the online exhibition be held by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (March 2021-March 2022).

The Quran and Etrat Deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance held the first edition of the virtual Quran exhibition in the holy month of Ramadan this year (May 2021).

Copies of the Holy Quran published by various Iranian publishers and books on Quranic sciences and teachings and religious issues were on view at the exhibit.

In addition, a large collection of artworks representing Quranic concepts were on display in the exhibition.

It was an alternative to the Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition, which was organized every year during Ramadan at the city’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla (prayer hall).

The international exhibit has been canceled over the past two years due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
