Islamic Jihad Chief: Attempts to Promote Normalization with Israel among West’s Anti-Muslim Moves

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The secretary general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement said one of the West’s moves against Muslims is promoting normalization deals with the Zionist regime of Israel.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 35^th International Islamic Unity Conference here in Tehran on Tuesday, Ziyad al-Nakhalah said Western colonization has targeted Muslims with numerous challenges such as imposing economic blockades, waging wars and fomenting conflicts in the Muslim world.

He added that such moves are in line with Judaization of Jerusalem al-Quds and the Zionists’ attempts to take control of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Nakhalah warned against disunity in the Islamic world and said discord and disputes among Muslims are the result of plots hatched by the West’s spy agencies in collaboration with regimes supported by the West.

He also referred to the issue of Palestine as the main issue in the Muslim world and said liberation Palestine is a task upon all Muslims.

The Islamic Jihad chief thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for its constant support for the Palestinian nation since the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution and stressed that it has played a main role in the continuation of Palestinian resistance against the Tel Aviv regime.
