Sheikh Abdel Aziz Fazel Al-Unzi said two Kuwaiti Quran experts as well as Quran experts from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and Jordan will make up the jury panel of the contest, Al-Ray daily reported.
The two Kuwaiti members of the panel are Sheikh Anas Al-Kunduri and Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Refaei, while those from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and Jordan are Sheikh Abdullah Bin Muhammad Jarallah, Sheikh Jafar Muhammad Jinahi, Sheikh Ahmed Saber Abdul Hadi, and Sheikh Muhammad Issam Al-Quzat, respectively.
Sheikh Al-Unzi urged the countries invited to the competition to send qualified representatives to the international Quranic event.
He said those countries whose representatives fail to make it to the final stage of the contest will be banned from participating in the competition for two years.
The fifth edition of Kuwait’s international Quran contest is planned to be held in Kuwait City on April 2-7.
The Islamic Republic of Iran will be represented in the competition by Hassan Soleymani and Seyyed Mohammad Kermani.
