Prayers, Quran Recitation Best Ways to Connect with God
Ayatollah Khamenei made the statement at a Takleef celebration ceremony (celebrating the start of religious obligations for individuals) held in Tehran on Tuesday
Over 2000 schoolboys from different parts of Tehran attended the ceremony at Imam Khomeini (RA) Husseiniyeh (religious center) in the presence of Ayatollah Khamenei.
The Leader underlined that when one realizes that in saying prayers, he or she is addressing God, the Almighty, it leads to boosting their self-confidence, courage and Tawakkul (trust in God).
Ayatollah Khamenei urged everyone to say their prayers at Awwal Waqt (the earliest period for the prescribed prayer) and with full attention and to be constantly in contact with the Holy Quran and its teachings.
The Leader also underscored that the secret to personal and social growth is maintaining one’s relationship with God, adding that one of the major flaws of the waning civilization in the West is cutting relationship with God.
At the end of the ceremony, Ayatollah Khamenei led congregational prayers at the Husseiniyeh.
