The 11th edition of the phone-in Quran competition titled “Inna lil-Muttaqina Mafaza” (Indeed, for the righteous is attainment- Holy Quran, 78:31) began on the first night of Ramadan (May 17) and concluded on the last night.
Inna lil-Muttaqina Mafaza is the Muslim world’s biggest live Quran recitation competition aired by Al-Kawthar, an Arabic-language channel within the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting’s World Service.
A total of 113 Qaris from different countries competed in this edition of the Quranic event.
Shoaei scored 84 out of 100 points in the final round.
Mohamed Fathullah Bibres from Egypt bagged the second prize with 82.5 points and the third rank went to Mohammad Taqi Anvari from Afghanistan who scored 81 points.
