It features recitation of the first Surah (chapter) of the Holy Quran, Surah al-Fatiha, according to Qafqn.org website.
Both girls and boys can take part in the competition, dubbed Ahbab Allah (Love of God).
They can send a recording of their recitation of the Surah with a beautiful voice and observation of the rules of recitation.
The Quran Unit of the Astan is holding the Quranic event.
The performances will be assessed by a group of Quran experts and winners will be announce and awarded in January.
The Quran contest is aimed at encouraging children to learn the Quran, especially Surah al-Fatiha.
Al-Fatiha is the first Surah of the Quran and consists of 7 verses, which are a prayer for guidance and mercy. It is recited in Muslim obligatory and voluntary prayers every day.
