Students from 68 Countries Taking Part in Al-Mustafa Int’l Quran, Hadith Festival
This according to head of the university’s family and students’ affairs center, Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Taqi Qazavi, speaking to reporters about the festival at a press conference on Wednesday.
He said the Quranic and religious event got underway in its preliminary stage on November 4, 2023.
The second stage is slated for Friday, January 19, in the holy city of Qom while the finals will be held in the holy city of Mashhad on February 6, he stated.
The motto of this edition is “Quran, Dignity and Triumph” and it is focused on the Holy Quran, dignity of Muslims and freedom-lovers of the world and supporting the oppressed people of the Gaza Strip, he noted.
The cleric added that the main goal of the festival is promoting acquaintance with the Holy Book, Hadiths and supplications among families.
It can also help to promote Quranic activities and enhance Quranic growth, he said.
In this edition, the Tafsir (Quran interpretation) and Quranic teachings sections have been given more attention and include educational courses as well, he went on to say.

Hojat-ol-Islam Qazavi noted that more than 5,500 individuals participated in the first round, competing in 54 categories.
