Tomb of Saadi in Iran’s Southern City of Shiraz

IQNA – Abu Muhammad Muslih al-Din bin Abdallah Shirazi, better known by his pen name Saadi, was a major Persian poet and prose writer of the medieval period.

The first day of the Iranian calendar month of Ordibehesht (April 20) is celebrated as the Saadi day in Iran. His tomb in the southern city of Shirza is visited by a large number of people every year.
