Hamid Saber Farzam said the large number of students expressing willingness to take part in the plan was surprising.
He noted that the implementation of the plan officially started on Sunday with the participation of 100 students.
Saber Farzam expressed the hope that with supports from different related bodies, the Quran teachers training plan will develop further.
The participants who take the courses and pass them successfully will receive certificates and can start teaching the Quran, he stated.
Elsewhere in his remarks, head of the IAQAO, which is affiliated to the University Jihad (Academic Center for Education, Culture, and Research), referred to the Quranic activities of the University Jihad and said it has organized various Quranic programs since its foundation in 1983, including Quran competitions, festivals, conferences, etc.
