He arrived at Imam Khomeini (RA) International Airport on Monday morning.
He competed for Iran in the recitation category in the men’s section of the Quranic event.
Although Movahed Amin had been among favorites to win the top prize, he came fourth in the category.
According to the panel of judges, Abdul Khair bin Jalil from the host country bagged the top prize and the Qaris from Algeria and Morocco came second and third respectively.
Known as Majlis Tilawah Al-Quran, the 61st edition of Malaysia’s international Quran competition was held in the Southeast Asian country’s capital from April 16 to 20 with the participation of 107 Qaris and Quran memorizers from 71 countries.
