According to al-ain.com, some 30 Yemenis with hearing disabilities including 10 teachers and 20 students have participated in the Quranic plan.
The participants are learning to read and write Quranic verses in sign language.
The plan is supervised by Rumouz Foundation for the Hearing Disabled in Yemen.
Imam Hashem, executive director of the foundation, said that the plan is supported by a group of charitable Emirati girls and women.
A book titled “Mushaf Al-Amal” in sign language is one of the sources used for teaching Quran in the plan.
