'Mary A True Believer Who Submitted to Will of God'
Every believer should be like her with totally submission to God, Khuri Vania Sargiz said, addressing a forum on the status of Hazrat Maryam (Mary) in divine faiths.
The forum was organized at the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) in Tehran on Tuesday.
It was also attended by Hojat-ol-Islam Yahya Jahangiri, head of ICRO’s office in Qom.
Khuri Vania Sargiz said the best thing a believing woman can do today is take Mary as a role model in life.
He said if women reflected on the life of Mary and followed her, it would prevent the destruction of the world.
The world’s moving toward ruin is because women and men are not in the position that God has determined for them, he added.
The cleric also said equality between men and women means that men and women should accept their physical and mental differences and each play their own role in society.
This balance has been upset in Western countries today and that is why no one is properly fulfilling his or her responsibility, he went on to say.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Hojat-ol-Islam Jahangiri said the world needs humanity today and mankind needs to return to his pure human essence.
