TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf condemned the Zionist atrocities in Palestine and said that Islamic Ummah firmly stands against the regime’s genocidal moves in the occupied territories.

Speaking in a meeting of Parliament’s open session on Tuesday, Qalibaf denounced the crimes committed by Israel in desecrating Al-Aqsa Mosque and killing Palestinians.

He said Zionist regime does not respect human rights in the least, criticizing the so-called advocates of human rights for remaining silent on Israeli crimes.

Qalibaf also said that the heads of reactionary regimes seeking normalization of ties with Israel should rest assured that the Islamic Ummah stands up against the genocide committed by the Zionist regime.

At least 25 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli air raids on the besieged Gaza Strip that started on Monday.

Palestine's Health Ministry on Tuesday morning put the death toll at 25 people, including 9 children, who were killed in overnight Israeli strikes. Over a hundred have also been injured in the latest Israeli aggression.

Experts say Palestine “is winning the legitimacy war” against the Apartheid Israeli regime.

Tensions have been running high in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of East Jerusalem al-Quds since last week when Israeli settlers swarmed in after an Israeli court ordered the eviction of Palestinian families.

Palestinians protesting in solidarity with the residents of Sheikh Jarrah have been targeted by Israeli forces.
