Seyed Mohammad Salehinejad, the secretary of the section, said it will include the categories of Quran interpretation, Nahj-ul-Balaqa and Sahifeh Sajjadiyeh.

He said the first stage of this section will be organized online in July with the contenders answering multiple-choice questions.

A total of 150 participants will make it to the final round in the men and women groups, which will be held at the Imam Kadhim (AS) Seminary School in Qom, he noted.

Salehinejad also said that only those aged 18 and more can take part in the Quranic teachings section.

Earlier this week, it was announced that the deadline for the 45th edition of Iran’s national Quran competition had been set for June 15 but it was extended due to the good reception of the event by Quran activist all over the country.

The cities of Qazvin and Ahvaz will host the other sections of the competition.

The contest is annually held by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization with the participation of top Quran activists from across the country.

It is aimed at discovering Quranic talents and promoting Quranic activities in society.

The 44th edition of the contest was held in Tehran in December 2021.
